General information
The provincial government must maintain a list of authorised inspectors pursuant to Section 32(1)(b) to (e) TGHKG 2013 that have their area of activity, registered office or branch office in Tyrol. In this list, an inspection number consisting of a country classification and a sequential number must be assigned to the inspectors. The list must be made generally accessible and published on the province’s website. In order for the inspection authorisation according to paragraph 1(b) to (e) to be exercised, an inspection number must have been allocated.

Procedure
1. The authorised inspector submits a written application to the authority with proof of his/her professional competence/inspection authorisation. 2. The authority checks whether the applicant can provide evidence of the required professional competence. 3. If the applicant can prove his or her professional competence, the authority enters him or her in the list of authorised inspectors. If the applicant cannot prove his or her professional competence, the authority rejects his or her application by means of a decision.

The persons with inspection authorisation under the Act are exhaustively listed in Section 32(1) TGHKG 2013. The required qualification must be proven to the authority in order to be entered in the list of authorised inspectors.

Additional information
The following persons or bodies are already authorised by law, i.e. without appointment by the provincial government, to carry out the activity of a heating system inspector:
a) official experts in the field of mechanical engineering; b) experienced state-authorised and certified civil engineers within the scope of their authority; c) accredited conformity assessment bodies under the Accreditation Act 2012 (Akkreditierungsgesetz, AkkG 2012) to the extent of their accreditation; d) technical offices and engineering agencies within the scope of their field of specialisation; e) traders who are authorised to establish, amend or repair the respective installation within the scope of their authority in accordance with Section 1(1)(a) or (b) or to carry out maintenance, inspections or measurements on these installations, f) persons or bodies who have authorisation corresponding to (b) to (e) in accordance with the legislation of the Federal Government, another province, another EU Member State or a state party to the EEA Agreement, Switzerland or any other state whose nationals are equated with EU citizens with regard to the conditions of business establishment by virtue of a treaty in the context of European integration.
