Provision of regular and paid care for minors

Daycare is regular and paid care for a minor under the age of 16 that is provided for part of the day by persons other than relatives up to the third degree, relatives by marriage, adoptive parents, guardians or other persons entrusted with the care and upbringing of the minor, and does not take place within the framework of nursery school, after-school care or school. Daycare can be provided at the home of an appropriate person (childminder), in suitable premises at companies (company childminder) or in other suitable premises. Childminders, daycare facilities, company childminders and company daycare facilities require a permit from the district administrative authority.
