‘How Europe wins’ is this year’s theme for the European Forum in Alpbach. One possible answer to this question: strong regions for a strong Europe. This idea was also taken up by the Euregio Days, which took place from 27 to 30 August 2026 as a standalone module of the Forum. During the event, 30 young people from North and East Tyrol, South Tyrol and Trentino gained fascinating insights into the Forum and cross-border cooperation within the Euregio.
The Europacafé provided the perfect setting for meetings and exchanges outside the official programme. Indeed, amidst discussions, conversations and fresh ideas, a good cup of coffee was a must in the ‘Village of Thinkers’. After all, sometimes that’s all it takes to bring people from different regions and nations together.
Last week, the Europacafé continued its tour: on 3 September to Jenbach and on 4 September to Wörgl. There, at the EU Bike Cinema – organised by the Tyrol Regional Information Office on Europe in collaboration with the CUBIC association – it’s ‘Action!’. Admission is free, and from 3 pm onwards, visitors could enjoy a programme of events for all ages. From 8 pm, a film that has won both the LUX Audience Award and an Oscar was screened. Visitors generated the electricity needed for the screening themselves by pedalling. This demonstrates how exercise, climate protection and collective commitment work together.
