30 May 2026: Closure of the Brenner Corridor
Important: Please avoid Tyrol on 30 May 2026 and take a wide detour!
Due to the closures, it will not be possible to use the Brenner Corridor on 30 May 2026. There is no local alternative route. Increased traffic levels are also to be expected on the days before and after 30 May.
On 30 May 2026, an officially notified assembly on the A 13 Brenner motorway near Matrei am Brenner will result in extensive traffic closures along the entire Brenner Corridor in Tyrol, Austria.
- Closure of the A 13 Brenner motorway (full closure of the motorway between the Schönberg toll station and the Brenner Pass in both directions from 11 am to 7 pm; for lorries from 9 am)
- Closure of the B 182 Brenner road and the L 38 Ellbögener road to through traffic from 11 am to 7 pm in order to maintain traffic safety and security of supply
This may cause traffic delays throughout Tyrol on that day. To avoid traffic chaos in Tyrol, it is recommended that you avoid non-essential car journeys on 30 May 2026. Alternatively, use public transport.
